Zachary McNish founded McNish Law in 2016 to offer efficient services and strategic perspective for clients.
Prior to forming McNish Law, Zach held in-house legal positions in Hawaii, including Executive Vice President & General Counsel of Distributed Energy Partners, a Honolulu-based photovoltaic solar company that has installed over 20MW of commercial and utility-scale solar in Hawaii. He served as Legal Counsel of RevoluSun LLC, one of Hawaii's largest residential photovoltaic solar contractors, and Associate Corporate Counsel at Hoku Scientific. Zach was an associate attorney at the law firm Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing and began his legal career by clerking for Magistrate Judge Barry M. Kurren in the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
Zach grew up in Makawao and is a graduate of Seabury Hall high school. He has a BA in History from Williams College, a MA in English from Duke University, and a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law. Zach lives in Haiku, Maui with his wife and two children.
Zach has strong relationships in the Hawaii legal community. McNish Law partners with other attorneys and firms as needed to ensure clients receive high-quality representation that meets their needs. He is also the General Counsel of American Piping & Boiler Co., a large Hawaii-based industrial contractor.
